A bit of fresh air.

Erin has dropped her afternoon nap. This horrific turn of events happened pretty much on the day she turned three, the same day her 'nummy' (dummy) was kindly given to Father Christmas to give to Rudolph (only way to get them off her).

We now have whole afternoons to fill, so today after a bit of quiet time watching a film we went for a walk. This was Erin's first time on her new scooter that she got for her birthday. She bloomin loved it. But you know really who loved it more? The husband. The sight of a six foot two man on a teeny tiny pink scooter really was a special viewing.

He's now in the playroom playing beauty and the beast whilst watching Despicable Me 2. He drives me to distraction but he's a good un really.

  2. Eeek I am dreading this stage, Mads my biggest girl has just turned three a couple of weeks ago and I have a feeling naps are on the way out, she sits up in her room and refuses to sleep some days (but is quiet so have been leaving her) or some days she still will sleep. It sounds awful but I am so worried about it, as I have a younger daughter I still want her to nap so I have no idea what we are going to do every single afternoon. It looks like she is having great fun on her scooter, Mads got one for her birthday too and loves it. Thanks for linking up, looking forward to seeing next weeks! x

  3. She loves her scooter so much. Well for the three minutes she went on it till she got bored! Hayley her Dad went on it all the way home. He much prefers it! Katie I have the exact same issue. Erin is three and Ethan just turned one. Erin's naps stopped the day she stopped having a dummy. I spent a few days shoving her in her room but she just bloomin started like banging on the window to the neighbours like a prisoner! What we do now post lunch is. Baby to bed and then Erin and I have a little chill. Watch a film usually and have a cuddle. Then when the baby gets up we have snacks. Everyone is revitalised (obv bar me who is exhausted) and we play again. I did have a little cry over napgate. Sad sad times. Will defo post again. Have a lovely week both of you x

  6. I love hearing stories about daddy's properly getting into play with their girls. My hubby's always been the same, and is regularly dressed up as a princess ;-)

Good luck through the no nap transition, three is a good innings at least!

  8. Love that photo :) Scooters are fab, as are naps! Both my boys stopped napping regularly as soon as they turned two... We're approaching that age with the wee girl and I'm 'la la la la-ing' in the face of the no nap fairy :)
