My little one tries a Plum 'little yum'!

When my girl got her teeth through I swear she went to sleep, slept twelve hours and then woke up with a full set of gnashers. Not one moan from her! Twas the dream. The boy however is a nightmare. He howls. He sobs. He clings. Sad times. We have tried a variety of things and when I heard that the nice people at Plum had developed some 'little yums' organic nibbly wafers for teething children, I thought "Huzzah!" and we gave them a go.

Luckily that day my lovely friend invited us round for a play date. You know the dream where you get to go and make a mess at someone else's house? And get free tea? And then leave? That. So I took my grumpy boy and cheery girl out for some fun.

The good thing about the 'little yums' is that they are in a handy pack so I could just pop them in my bag without the annoyance of those snack pods which are uber bulky. As my children are always starving hungry, like I don't actually feed them, we opted for snacks straight away.

I chose the pumpkin and banana 'little yums' for the boy as he is a huge fan of the 'nanna'. They also come in spinach, apple and kale flavour which would have been perfect for my girl when she was younger as she bloomin loved an apple! The wafers come in packs of three and are really easy for the baby to handle as you can see from the piccys.

Overall the packaging was great and really easy to carry around. Also the shape of the wafer itself is brilliant for weaning babies. The ingredients are organic which is perfect for when you're starting your little ones out on proper food as you want them to get the best possible start. The only issue was, as my boy is 15 months now, I think the product would have been much better when he was younger.

He was weaned by doing baby led weaning and I think that these would have made a great change from squishy fruit and the plainer foods I was giving him. As he's a bit older he now knows the ways of stronger tasting things so they didn't excite him as much!

It's a shame that these weren't around when my boy was much littler as I am sure he would have loved a good old nibble on these Plum 'little yums'. I could try them again with number 3? (husband reads and runs away screaming).

For further info go and check out Plum Baby and learn about the other great range of organic food they have on offer.

These Plum 'little yums' were sent to my boy for a review but all the opinions are honest and my own.

We're going on an adventure

  11. We tried these and Toby wasn't that keen but I think like your boy he's used to stronger tasting things. My friend's six month old twins liked them though so I think they are maybe best for younger babies.
