Amaze Debenhams Back to School Competition

Oh the many sobs. My girl starts proper pre-school in a few weeks and gulp double sobs they have a full school uniform where she is going! So obviously I was rabid when Debenhams offered me the chance to kit my little munch from head to toe in their school range. But even better than that have also given me an AMAZING prize that you can enter to win up to £200 worth of Debenhams gear. Wahoo!

Before I chose the bits and bobs my girl needed I made sure I looked at the pre-school uniform list to kit her out properly (having fears of her looking all wrong on the first day). We chose some super cute pinafore dresses and little skirts as well as some plain white tops. She looked SO CUTE. And was so excited she wouldn't bloomin take them off!

I also chose my girl a couple of winter coats. A bright pink one as she is obsessed with the colour. It has a fleecy hood and is waterproof. She will be walking to pre-school so this will be fab for the weather. I also chose her a 'good' coat. Is it just me or do all kids have to have a 'good' coat? For like special occasions? I chose this in black and it is lovely and thick - bit like a duffel coat.

So here's the deal. The 'Back to School' competition is asking bloggers to work with a child of your choice - could be one of your own little ones, or a niece, nephew, even grandchild. All they need to do is imagine they can wear ANYTHING they like to school from the Debenhams Kids Clothes page, worth up to £100. So it could be wellies and a onesie. Or a beautiful party dress. Anything. Don't worry if the child is too little for school - get them to think about what they would like to wear when they are bigger.

Next along with the child, create a moodboard blog post showing what they would like to wear from the site and explaining why, using pictures off the site or drawn. Then? In the comments below this blog post leave your link and I, along with a Debenhams representative, will choose the most creative blog post. Don't forget to tell all your other readers you are entering "The Debenhams Back to School Competition on www.brummymummyof2.co.uk". The prize is the outfit the child chose (up to £100) as well as a £100 voucher for the store! Good isn't it!?

Do not worry yourselves about rushing you have till the 31st August to get this done! Lots of time in between rushing around the manicness that is the summer holiday. Emma at Mellow Mummy is also hosting this competition but only enter on one of our blogs.

Not only is it a brilliant prize but it is also a really fun activity to sit down with a child and do (especially if it's a bit rainy and the doom soft play is not an option). I can't wait to see what you're going to come up with! If you are going to tweet about your entry please use the hashtag #DebsDreamUniform. For further information please go and have a little look at the t&c which can be found here. Good Luck Babs!

The competition is now closed and the winner was lovely Grace. You can read her winning post here!
