Living the High Life with Staying Cool Apartments

Recently I was really lucky that lots of lovely bloggers decided to come and visit Brum and see how well, ruddy brilliant it is. Along with my local blogging partner in crime Sarah from Taming Twins, we were fortunate enough to spend the evening in a Birmingham landmark, The Rotunda with the Staying Cool Apartment Franchise.

We stayed in one of the Staying Cool Maxi two bedroom apartments and I have to say it was probably one of, if not the actual, nicest place I have ever stayed in. The views across the city are amazing and with floor to ceiling windows you could see all the landmarks including the Bullring shopping centre as well as the refurbished New Street Station. Along with the amazing views the interior was slick, and I felt ever so Sex in the City in it, think Carrie Bradshaw, saying Bab a lot.

High points for me that the apartment was big enough to have a few friends round for some cheeky Proscecco before we went out. You know out, out. There are plenty of places to sit and the kitchen was perfect for containing all our nibbles, as well as having a fridge to chill the drinkys. As with bloggers there are certain things we have to have or our heads will drop off (probably). So it was ace to see there were plenty of plug points for phones, laptops, cameras, free WiFi and a ginourmous tele with Sky to dance around like proper cool (ahem) Mums to the lastest choons (or 90's stuff we found on the music channels. All Saints are still trendy right?).

After our night out it was brilliant the next morning to chill out for a few hours in the amazing surroundings, Sarah made some lovely homemade juice in the juicer provided with the oranges provided (!) and we enjoyed freshly made coffee and tucked into the mini selection of yummy muesli's on offer. It was ace. I even got a bit of laptop time whilst we had a good gossip about the events from the previous night.

I cannot speak highly enough about the Staying Cool apartments and I am even considering booking them for our wedding anniversary over Christmas as I think it would be a fab place to stay in between shopping at the Bullring (which is just underneath) and watching the Panto down the road. It is the kind of place that makes you a bit sad to actually leave it and go out! The little touches like amazing smellies in the bathroom, free WiFi and teas, coffees and cereals made it the perfect place for some well earned 'me time'. Watch a little tour below!

We were gifted this apartment to review but it really is amazing!

  1. I think this has nailed down our wedding night residence! Thanks !

  2. I thought this was the beginning of the Taming Brummy vlogs! Love that leave stuff like oranges, so nice when it's just a one nighter and not worth doing shopping. Acers x

  3. Ooh - always book a hotel when I'm staying in town (town is obvs Birmingham yeah?) - but thinking this would be a great alternative. Thanks bab. x

  4. Have stayed in Birmingham overnight recently and never would have thought about The Rotunda. Will definitely check this out next time we stop over. Looks perfect x
