Project Playroom

Recently I have been gorging on the joy that is Pinterest as I really wanted to redo our playroom. I am lucky enough for the children to be at home with me three days a week and the other two my parents look after them here as well. So a couple of years ago we converted our dining room into a playroom. And it has been a god send. It means no more ruddy toys in the living room and everything is confined to that room. So here are some pics of the favourite parts of our very lovely new playroom...

Gisella Graham Sign

Our photo wall

Ikea Trofast system. A beautiful wall of special moments. Ikea paper hangings

Ikea white coffee table. Ikea children's chairs. Habitat Rug.

Wilkos Clock. Children's hand prints on £1 canvas

Fireplace reading nook. Ikea seat cushion. TK Maxx random cushions. Blanket by the amazing Bec

Ikea lights to distract from my many DVDs!

Matalan chandelier. Ikea paper hangings. Bunting - everywhere!!!

Some of my girls dresses on display

My girl in her nook!

It may not be everybody's cup of tea and I'll be honest? It is a bit top heavy on the bunting, but we love it and it is fab to have somewhere bright and colourful for my children to have a giggle in. And at the end of the day? That's all that bloomin matters.

  8. It's so beautiful, and love that reading nook. I'd love to properly do up our house, but I don't know where to start, and my OH doesn't see the need. We don't even have curtains in the whole house after 14 years

  9. I absolutely love it! You go, bunting girl! Everything is so pretty I would pin it all straight away if I saw it on Pinterest (am a bit of a pinning addict!). The photo wall is stunning with its mix of shapes / colours / drawings as well as pictures, love love love! That nook is great. My kids would love it made into a mini den, with a curtain in front or something. I wish we could do that with our dining room, but the layout of the house wouldn't allow it (you actually go through the dining room to get to the kitchen). Oh well, there is a certain charm in walking barefoot on Lego (not!). x #MagicMoments
