Beautiful Beautiful Bluestone

During the first weekend in half term we were lucky enough to be chosen to be a Bluestone Blogger and go and review the site in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It was an AMAZING way to start the holiday and as someone who visits a lot of kid friendly holiday places such as Butlins and Center Parcs, it was by far one of the best we have been too. So check out some piccys and some bits and bobs from our lovely three days away...

Our Lovely Lodge
We stayed in an 8 person lodge and it was HUGE! With a giant kitchen/diner and a lounge area that boasted three lounges and a fab flat screen tele and DVD, it was the kind of room that you (well OK maybe just me) wanted to rollerskate around. The decor was lovely with beautiful spot lights in the kitchen and plenty of heaters so it was warm on the return from the super cold outside.

The kiddos mainly loved running around screaming and generally skidding all over the laminate flooring as if they were at 40th Birthday Party dancing to Abba. We had numerous games of hide and seek and lots of chilling out and watching DVDs on the player provided. Bedrooms were clean and spacious with lots of drawer and cupboard space as well as full length mirrors. Decorated in nice neutral colours. Each bed also came with a hand and bath towel for every person. So no need to pack them and drive home with stinky ones.

The bathrooms were quite big and had heated towel rails and I have to say something. And I do not say this lightly. But. The shower was literally the best shower I have ever had in my whole entire life. Seriously. So much so. One day? I had two! This may make me insane but it was amazing!

Super Surroundings
The lodges are very picturesque and surrounded by some gorgeous views. And the best thing is that during your stay cars are not allowed so you know your children are safe to round around. There are golf buggys available to hire but we could walk to everything quite easily from where we were staying which was fab. I will say that you should bring your buggy if your little one still needs one and maybe a buggy board. Also? Don't be wearing your best high heels! Boots all round for this little holiday.

Amazing Adventures
Unlike Center Parcs, which is fantastic but aimed at bigger kids, Bluestone has loads on offer for tiny tots. There is a great outdoor playground which is set in The Village, which also boasts a little shop and some nice places to eat.

The main attraction at the theme park is the Blue Lagoon swimming centre. With slides for the big kids and a dedicated toddler swimming area, our family mainly enjoyed floating around the lazy river which made my boy scream as it went outside and made his head cold. Which evidently is the height of crazy fun for a two year old! The fitting rooms had nice big family ones and place all around the pool were deckchairs for Nanny's and Grandads to chill out on.

Another big draw is the large Adventure Centre. Here older children can try their hand at climbing up walls. But my two loved taking part in the free mini golf and soft play. There is also a bouncy castle as well as an AMAZING Circus room perfect for tiny tots. We paid £7 for my girl to sit in this room with a fairy and decorate a cupcake. There are lots of other activities that you can take part in but there was so much to do we only splashed out on this one.

Terrific Tenby
As my two love the beach we decided one day to drive half hour to the lovely little seaside village of Tenby. Which was voted as Europe's best beach in 2014 (and that my friend is a fact). We had a lovely morning running around, tucking into chips and filling our boots with sand and pick n mix. It was the prefect ending to our little adventure.

Overall we thought that Bluestone was perfect for our two and we will defiantly be booking up again with the Grandparents. It was relaxing, with wifi in all the lodges we could also watch the odd Kinder Egg here and there and I may have had more showers that in necessary for a human to have. Brill stuff all round. If you would like to find out more check out the Bluestone website here.

We were lucky enough to be sent to Bluestone to review this amazing holiday!
