Children's Festival Chic

In a few weeks time we are taking our kids to their very first music festival. We are going to be staying overnight...in the local Travelodge. But? Hey we will still be there the whole weekend soaking up the atmosphere with music, theatre and the odd cheeky Pimms (Fruit Shoots for the kids). So this month I thought I would do a festival chic fashion choice for my little ones. I am thinking sweet sandals and floaty dresses for the girl. Comfy shorts and fashionable T Shirts for the boy. Behold my festival chic family wish list for Summer 2015!

Number 1 for my boy is some cute Converse pumps available at online kids fashion store Melijoe. Number 2 are some really comfy denim shorts from Matalan. To keep in the rock festival vibe number 4 is a skull shirt from Primark and to top my boys outfit off is a fab DSquared2 panama hat also from Melijoe. I think this outfit will be comfy and perfect to sit in all day. I am also always massively paranoid about the kids getting sunburnt so a good hat is really vital if you are out for long periods in the sun.

Number 5 and number 7 is a perfect festival outfit for the girl in the form of a lovely white dress from Primark combined with an aztec print oversized top, also from the store (which I kinda wish I could wear.) I love metallic gladiator sandals so when I saw this beautiful Les Tropeziennes pair, again from Melijoe, I knew they also had to go on the wish list. To top my girls outfit off? No look is complete for her without a Troizenfants bag (found on Melijoe) which she can fill with all manner of tat to last the day.

I am really excited to go to the festival now and I feel I may have to pop to the shops to get myself the odd little treat. I'm sure my girl won't mind if I copy her little outfit completely? Will she? I think at four this may be the only year I get away with it. Now pass me that Pimms.

  3. I'm so envious you are going to a festival. We've talked about it but I think my kids are still too young. I have seen parents wheeling kids around festivals in giant carts though- not sure mine would tolerate it. The outfits look amazing- especially the gladiator sandals - you should definitely get yourself a pair of those.

    1. Oh you should look for a kid friendly one? Wychwood is for kids and I think Bestival? There is a comp on the blog to win tickets to Wychwood! x
