So we are the end of September and have come to the round-up of some of my favourite bits and pieces that we have been sent in the post. I love September as it's the start of a new term. Autumn is on the horizon and weirdly I am already thinking about Christmas. Health wise I've had the worst cold that developed into Sinusitis so I'm trying to be a bit kinder to myself which is ace as I got sent a beauty product from Neal's Yard Remedies. And that never happens! So take a nose as some of the bits and pieces we got to try this month with a fab Twirlywoo competition at the end!...
Modelling some of Miss Manes grips!
Popping out for some Wood And Wonder Croquet
We are HUGE fans of Smiggle here in our house. We love the bright colours and the vast amount of super cute things that the store has to offer. I was dead happy when we go sent through a giant parcel of bits and pieces. I was even more overjoyed that my two were out which meant that I got to put it away and will be dishing it out as rewards during the coming months. (Bar the burger pad...that bad boy? Is MINE ALL MINE).
I also got sent some amazing lime JOY stationary products which will be perfect for my office (OK the corner of my bedroom which has the worlds tiniest desk in it) and for filing all my bits and bobs. For further information about Smiggle please visit their site here.
Wearing: Miss Mane
One of the great things about writing a blog is that lots of brands approach you that you may never have heard of otherwise. And one of these is Miss Mane. An Etsy boutique that specialises in no slip clips and no snag hair ties. My little girl is super over friendly and enjoys a cuddle. Cuddles at school? Can often lead to the dreaded 'nit' so we have to make sure that her hair is up at all times. So these products from Miss Mane are perfect.
What I also really like about them is that you can pop one of the no snag ties on your wrist and it can almost pass off as a bracelet so you can do that Mum thing of keeping one on you at all times. The navy grips will be ideal for school. And I may have stolen the flesh coloured Miss Mane ties for myself. To find out more about Miss Mane visit their Etsy site here or pop over and like their Facebook page here.
Beauty: Neal's Yard Remedies Beauty Sleep Concentrate
It's not often that I get things for myself on the blog. But this month I was lucky enough to be approached by Neal's Yard Remedies to try out their Beauty Sleep Concentrate. Now as a Mum of two small children? I need all the help I can get. I've not tried anything from Neal's Yard before so I was curious to see what it was like. For the past couple of weeks after I have done my bedtime beauty routine (OK so I mean after I have washed my face), I have popped a few pumps of this on my hand and then rubbed it into my face.
I have found it really easy to rub in and the aromas are super relaxing. I'm really trying to make an effort with looking after my skin as I am rapidly approaching 30 (OK 40. Shut up). The concentrate is a lovely product and it's definitely made me want to look at other Neal's Yard items. For further information check out the concentrate here!
Playing: Wood And Wonder
It's still quite sunny around these parts so we are still spending quite a lot of time in the garden at the moment (albeit in wellies and coats). Online wooden toy company Wood And Wonder sent us across a lovely frog croquet set for my two to play with. There are lots of gorgeous toys on the site. Wooden toys have a lot less impact on the environment and really help to stimulate your pre-schoolers and babies imagination. They also contain a lot less toxins that other man made toys.
Amazing toy highlighting HOW AWFUL IS THE GRASS IN MY GARDEN!
My two spend far too much time on their tablets so it was great to get them out of the house and have a play with this set. It was beautifully made and taking a look at the Wood and Wonder site here it really has some gorgeous items on offer that would be perfect to gift at a baby shower or pop in a Christmas stocking.
For this month's favourites competition you can win your little one a Twirlywoo DVD! Perfect for their Christmas stocking or just a little treat. Featuring eight tales from the colourful foursome 'There's Somebody At The Door' is perfect to pop on the DVD player during that time before CBeebies starts properly. It's out to buy on October 5th but just enter the rafflecopter form at the bottom of this post to win your very own copy! Good Luck!
