Christmas Gift Guides: Mummy Make Up

One thing us Mothers aren't great at is treating ourselves. But this year I made a vow to make sure that ever so often I popped to the shops and brought something for me. And when you are feeling a bit chubby or a bit skint a great thing to buy is? MAKE UP! I love it. So I have compiled some of my favourite bits that I have got over the past few months and would be ideal for a stocking filler or just to buy yourself a nice present!

1) Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette
I LOVE Naked palettes I am the proud owner of two and when I saw this one pop on the market I knew I had to spend some of my birthday money and invest. Quite steep at £40, the palette comes in the most beautiful box and the colours are really wearable day to day and some fab shades for the festive season. They are sold out all over the shop but I finally found my Gwen Stefani palette online at Selfridges and then picked it up in store.

2) Benefit They're Real Eyeliner
This is the best eyeliner I HAVE EVER HAD! A bit tricky to get used to at the beginning as there is an odd push up mechanism which I still haven't mastered but it glides on like the dream and is super waterproof. Often my eye make up can make my eyes water but this They're Real eyeliner from Benefit is amazing. I get mine from Boots (generally in a cheeky 342).

3) Real Techniques Make Up Brushes
I never really bothered with make up brushes but for birthdays and Christmas's the past few years I have been building my collection of Real Techniques brushes up. They are super soft on the skin and look beautiful on my make up table. Which is the only place that is child free in my house! Again I get them from Boots or they can be found if you have a good mooch in TK Maxx or look online at vouchers sites to see if you can get offers on them or other branded make up.

4) Too Faced Better Than S*x Mascara
I can confirm. This mascara? May well be better than s*x. It is fantastic. When you pull it out it does seem to look a little blobby, almost as if it has dried on the wand? But when you apply it (and I generally do about three goes) your lashes genuinely do look more thicker and out of all my make up it is the one I have received the most compliments on in the past few months.

5) No7 Stay Perfect Foundation
I like to try out lots of different foundations but I always come back to the No7 Prefect Foundation in Calico. Again from Boots. Again brought in a cheeky 342. This lasts all day and as I had it tested to match my skin it really is a good look for this tired Mum.

6) Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer
If you are looking for one dead cheap item to make you instantly feel better then look no further than the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. In most high street drug stores it's favoured by loads of beauty bloggers and vloggers and really does live up to the hype. And it's like £3! Go out and get one now!
