It's nearly Mother's Day! The time of year where we get to be spoilt rotten. Lie in's are a necessity and our other halves by rights should get us a few gifts from our loving offspring. Here are some of the best things I have been sent to get the main lady in your life on Sunday. There are lots of money off offers dotted throughout this gift guide as well as an AMAZING competition at the end!
There is nothing a lady likes more than a pair of shoes. Sure we enjoy wearing a nice slipper and a pair of converse but we also (gasp) enjoy wearing proper posh shoes sometimes. Brantano is a shoe store where amazing bargains can be found. They have a variety of brands in stock and it's always the first place I visit when I am looking for some new shoes for the kids. My favourites online were these beautiful Mary Janes from Clarks. They would be ideal for work and would be perfect for when I go on a posh meal out (that would be once a year then). There is currently a buy one pair get one pair half price offer so look online or in your nearest Brantano store.
2. Baylis and Harding Smellies
I ruddy love a smelly. As a Mum you are often stuck in the house and the only way you can have a bit of peace and quiet is to shout in a huff "I am off to have a bath. Now leave me alone". This lovely foot treats set from Baylis and Harding is available in Tesco and House of Fraser. It's reasonably priced at £8.50 and there is nothing finer in life that soaking your feet after a day of running around chasing small boys.
3. Yankee Candle
We all know by now that I am obsessed with Yankee Candles. There is a brand new range in stores called the 'My Serenity'. Some lovely fresh new scents for the spring. As soon as I smelt this 'Peony' one I knew it would be something I would want in my bathroom until summer time. I spotted the large version for £21.99 in Debenhams but I am sure you can get it in all sorts of shops on the high street.
4. Aldi Kitchen Ware
One of the best things about Aldi is yeah they do reasonably priced food but they also do those random bits and bobs that you can pop in and pick up. There is a great new kitchenware range in stores on Mothers Day itself (6th March). It includes everything from aprons and tea towels to electronic scales and amazing classic food mixers. This ceramic bowl set is gorgeous and will fit nicely in my cupboard for when I foolishly decide to do a bit of cooking with the kids (sob). So pop into your nearest Aldi story on Sunday.
5. Wall Snaps Box Frame
I LOVE customising things. I especially love getting prints made for the house. I am a little obsessed with photos so I knew Wall Snaps would make the perfect present for me. You can go on the site and make everything from a customised box print (I chose the most hilarious picture of my boy dressed as Captain America) to canvases of different sizes. What I liked most about the box range is that you can have different backgrounds to your photos as well as choosing a different frame colour. And if you don't love a chevron pattern you are mad!
The lovely people at Wall Snaps are offering you £5 off if you spend £30 online (use the code BMOT5) and £10 if you spend £60 (use the code BMOT10). So go and upload your photos to Wall Snaps and pick up something great for the lady in your life.
6. CaseApp Phone Cover
I've had CaseApp products for over a year now. I've had a few phone covers as well as a really lovely case for my MacBook Air. Super easy to upload photos as well as editing them, CaseApp covers are a perfect gift around the £20 mark. Whenever I get my phone out I always get compliments on it and for my new case I have chosen a few of my favourite piccys. Ones that make me really laugh rather than are soppy.
If you're interested in getting something from CaseApp for your Mum there is currently a code online to get 20% off. Go to the site and pop in MUMMY20CA.
7. Forever Memory Bears
The chances of me having another child are slim to non (looks at husband whilst he runs away screaming). So we have loads of old kids clothes knocking around my house. We are talking vacuum packed bags everywhere. I really need to get rid of them but can't quite yet. However since the discovery of Forever Memory Bears I may be able to let go (sob).
This clever company lets you send your children's old clothes and they are turned into a beautiful teddy bear. I spent a good hour or so going down memory lane looking at old clothes to be turned into my Forever Memory Bear. I opted for something from my son's Christening as well as his first snuggly hoody amongst other things. Ideal for a first Mother's Day or if your kids are that little bit older and you want to cling onto the baby years FOREVER go over to Forever Memory Bears and see what beautiful teddies they can make for you. Be sure to check my instagram out where I will post mine when it arrives! And don't forget to enter brummymummyof2 and get £25 off at the checkout!
8. The Kids Pastel Light Box SetBeing a blogger means you get introduced to lots of lovely online stores run by Mums. The Kids is a great site that sells everything from bang on trend kids clothes to toys to beautiful interior pieces. When I looked I was instantly drawn to the light boxes as there is nothing more a blogger loves than a fancy light box. What I loved about The Kids was they have different light boxes available. Different to your usual bog standard ones. Not only do they have a pastel box but also sets of letters and pictures that can be used if you already have a light box. And really reasonably priced.
My lovely light box in my little space!
The ladies at The Kids are letting me run a competition where you can win £50 to spend on their beautiful site. You may want to get yourself a lightbox or perhaps get the kids something nice for their room. But it's Mothers Day isn't it? So I would go bag yourself a treat! Fill in the rafflecopter below. Winners will be drawn in a fortnight. Good Luck!
