...because whilst you stay at the Away Resorts Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park in the Isle of Wight or the Mill Rythe one in Hampshire your kiddos get to take part in their very own Summer Stage School. Starting at age 6 the younger children will be learning songs from the musicals 'Oliver' and 'Annie' (which is my daughters...OK my...favourite show). Older kids from 12-17 can take part in 'Grease' classes. With two hour morning classes for the duration of our stay it means that my girl can make some new friends and that we can focus on having fun with our boy. Which is a rare treat for him.
As well as singing, dancing and drama all children taking part in the Summer Stage School will star in their very own video. Which will introduce them to the videoing and editing process. Now for the best bit. On the Thursday evening there will be a show were the performers get to show their parents what they have been up to during those mornings with their friends. Run by principals and tutors from 'The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Art', the classes sound fantastic and right up my little drama Queen's street.
The Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park looks beautiful, with it's own private beach and two swimming pools. There is nightly entertainment and soft play, which is always essential with tiny children. I can't wait to go and explore the Isle of Wight as it is somewhere we have not visited before. If you would like further information about the Summer Stage School go and check out information on the Away Resorts website. And check back for a full review and the adventures we got up to whilst we were there!
