Recently I wrote about my school run Mum wardrobe for the autumn season. As well as getting all excited about woolly hats and jeggings I also am super lucky as I get to buy a whole another wardrobe for work. I am a part time secondary school teacher and I flipping love getting new gear for my favourite of all seasons. So here are a few of the looks that I will be wearing to work for the foreseeable future...
I am a size 16 and New Look always do great plus sized fashion. As I work in a school I have to make sure that I am modest but I also want to look half decent. The black midi skirt and pinafore dress will be my staples for this season. I like to wear them with blouses and also the classic striped t-shirt. As I have a fuller figure by tucking them both into the skirt and adding a belt it shows off that I do in fact have a waist!
2 and 3 - Autumn Dresses
I LOVE a patterned dress. Especially ones that come over the knees. It's not the most glamorous of looks but when accompanied with some nice accessories and a chunky knit this short sleeved dress (1) from New Look and long sleeved one (2) from Sainsburys will look perfect in school. Sainsburys often stock great dresses and if you wait for the 25% off offer you can get some amazing bargains.
4 - Camel Coat
Most high street stores will stock a camel coat and this one is my favourite which again comes from New Look. I bought the exact same one last year and was happy to see that it is still in fashion. It looks smart enough to wear to work but equally would look great with jeggings and some chunky boots.
5 - Marc Jacobs Watch
I was lucky enough to be sent one of the rose gold Marc by Marc Jacobs Watches to review. With all my work wear outfits coming from the high street it was lovely to be sent a bit of luxury to wear with them. I received it from Plus Watches which has a large selection of designer watches on offer at great prices. As well as this lovely Marc Jacobs one I was also really taken with the wide range of Michael Kors styles available. I think that the rose gold really compliments all the colours I have chosen to wear and also makes me feel a little bit fancy. Which is never a bad thing.
6 - Accessorize Bag
I brought this bag when I visited London a while ago and I love it. It not only has a handle but a strap which is great as I like to wear my work bag across my chest. It is deceptively big inside and has a pouch at the front which is prefect for housing my phone. I love the faux croc look of it and on the side is a large tassel. And who doesn't love a tassel?
7 - Primark Shoes
The great thing about Primark is that you can buy items cheap knowing that they might not be in fashion next year but it doesn't really matter. I think that the boots would look lovely with both of the dresses and I love the ballet flats to wear with the skirt. The rose gold ones would also compliment my watch perfectly.
8 - Revolution Eye Palette
I am obsessed with eye shadow palettes. I have all the fancy Naked ones and the Too Faced ones but this super cheap one from Revolution? IS AMAZING! Seriously. I will mainly be wearing these colours this autumn. Especially the golds and browns. You can get the palletes in Superdrug and Boots.
So that is what I will be wearing to work this autumn. Roll on the frosty mornings and those dark cosy nights in front of the tele. Utter bliss!
