Literally just a picnic. But indoors. Erin was beside herself like I said we were going to the Ritz. We were just eating dinner, but on the floor! We had lots of fun and it wasted an hour (as full days in the house with two seem like an actual week) which was great. In fact I may start eating food on the floor for all meals. As with the baby that's where most of it ends up anyways.
Aww sounds like great fun! Brilliant idea and anything that means the time goes faster is great in my book :) #whatsthestory
ReplyDeleteI know! Aren't rainy days in the longest ever? xxx
DeleteMy kids adore doing this, too - it's funny how just calling it something different and eating on the floor can be so exciting!
ReplyDeleteKids are a bit daft sometimes aren't they? xxx
DeleteThat's lovely, we do that when Monkey has friends for play dates sometimes #Whatsthestory
ReplyDeleteOhhh good idea! I love a play date but even more at someone else's house. Less mess! ;) xxx
DeleteMy girls love eating on the floor too....It's the simple things!!
ReplyDeleteI'm defo going to do it again xxx
Deletei love it!! we have carpet picnics all the time!! they are fantastic :-)
ReplyDeletethanks for linking up with #MagicMoments x
Next time I may bung on some music, paper plates and call it a party! Erin would implode! xxx
DeleteWhat a brilliant idea to have an indoor picnic. You could have a whole series of them at the moment! We have pretend picnics and tea parties a fair bit but not with actual food. Inspired! Thanks for sharing #whatsthestory
ReplyDeleteIt was one of those days you just are at the end of your tether and you think oh God how can I get them to be quiet for half hour! :) xxx
DeleteWe have carpet picnics too, I did a post the other week about pretend picnics, it is something that happens almost daily here, the girls just love make believe at the mo and best of all its free!.
ReplyDeleteAnything that is free in my books is the dreams! Sigh I wish I had another little girl. The boy just destroys the party and tries to eat the princesses. I find boys to be a bit crackers xxx
DeleteI love doing this. When i first me my husband he made me an indoor picnic and even brought along some small plastic cows for authenticity. More romantic than it sounds!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that sounds so so so romantic! I may steal that idea for valentines day you know xxx
DeleteWhat a lovely idea! Erin looks so happy in the second picture!
ReplyDeleteIf a tiny cupcake is involved. She is always happy!! xxx
