I've done a bit before on here about the joys of Sandwell Valley Country Park but as it's only 15mins from my house I was there again today! I went with my lovely friends Mel and Rach and their beaut clan (Rach has four girls! A medal is deserved). We went on the playground. Had an early (obv) picnic. Mooched round the farm. Got lost in a maze (well the kids did. We had a little sit down in the sun eating choccys). 'Played' ahem giant chess and finally ended up on the little fair that's there over the Easter holidays.
The adventure playground is free whilst the farm is only £2 for adults and under 5s are free! Amaze! And there's loads of nice little spots to eat picnics. The best bit is that even though it was a sunny busy Easter holiday day, as it's in a wide open space you don't feel cramped. Also the boy proper loved the animals. And enjoyed a good scream in a donkeys face!
So here's some piccys from our beaut day out. Enjoy! And if you're in the area pop along. It's fab. Happy days.
Boy bows his head as it dawns on him. He will never win against the girls.
Picnic ridiculously early? Yes please!

Yep it's really good value for money. We love it there xxx
DeleteLooks like a fab place and so bloomin' reasonable too - if you saw my post on Fisher's Farm in Sussex it seems similar (probably a bit more going on with magic show, ghost train etc.) but cost a LOT more (although I'm not sure how much as the outlaws paid - :-) ) #countrykids
ReplyDeleteOh yes that sounds far more exciting than here but it's ok if you're going a bit stir crazy in the house xxx
