Spring has Sprung!

Hooray! It finally happened! The spring has sprung! This weekend it felt like we were leaving the doom of the winter months behind us and rushing towards the dream that is 'outdoor play' i.e shoving the kids in the garden to run around like loons, get stacks of fresh air and hopefully fall into a coma like sleep for 12 hours. Get in! No more Peppa and more importantly no more having to do messy play indoors (shudder). Just good old fashioned knocking around in the garden.

We decided to make the most of the sunnier weather and have a good sort out of the garden. Mopping down the plastic tables, removing some now dead balls that hadn't lasted the winter and popping up the kids new Aztec Wig Wam from Big Game Hunters. I have always longed for a shabby chic wig wam as I think they look super beautiful and a bit more interesting that the plastic wendy house we already own.

For 2015 I am trying to be a bit more neutral with bits around the house as I am aware my lovely boy lives in a world of pink so I am aiming to mix it up. So I bypassed the BEAUTIFUL flowery wig wams and went for an aztec printed one. I thought it would be fab to use in imaginative cowboy roleplay. The wig wam itself was pretty easy to put up - took my other half about 30 minutes. It can fit a couple of kiddos in sitting down and I think it will be great to provide a bit of shade for picnics when the time is right. Lest we forget eating outside is the dream! No mess in the house!

Big Game Hunters kindly sent us this wig wam to review and they have stacks more different designs on offer. If you are looking for some alternative outdoor toys check out their site here.

  1. Oh it's so pretty, love it! :)

I want one for me! Do they do adult sized ones?! ;)

  2. I might get one for my husband. I could always make him sleep in it on the days when his snoring is earth shatteringly offensive.
Another blessing of the warmer months! X

  3. Ooh this is fab! I'm looking forward to getting out in the garden when the weather decides if it's going to stay sunny or not. We haven't really got many outdoor spaces in this part of the Black Country so we will be making full use of the garden this year!
