Best(ival). Summer. EVER!

The six weeks is nearly upon and I swear as god is my witness I am going to make this officially the best school holiday ever! For the past five summers I have either been pregnant, or with a small baby or a two (gah) toddlers. This summer? I have a proper little girl and just the one toddler (who bar his many strops) is easy to handle. We have lots of adventures planned. Including nine days away as a whole family which is kicking off with...Camp Bestival!

Festival fun with my boy earlier this year!

Yep to start off our main family holiday this year, we are packing up and driving down to the beuttiful Lulworth Castle in Dorset on 30th July for a few days. Before we drive for another few hours onto the joy that is Butlins. As official ambassadors for Camp Bestival (eek) the little ones and I will be blogging and vlogging all about our adventures.

Perfect for the kiddos the festival offers lots of entertainment to keep them occupied. From Dick and Dom to The Gruffalo, from The Scarecrows Wedding to watching films like The Lion King in The Big Tent. As we are away for nine days and we want to ensure that we don't all kill each other. We have decided to book into a little B&B near the site. At two and four I'm not sure mine would cope in a tent...but this time next year? I VOW to do a festival properly. Maybe.

One of a million floral crowns I shall be packing!

There's loads that I CANNOT wait for including a bedtime story by my childhood hero Michaela Strachan, an inflatable church (the RE teacher in me is hugely excited by this!) as well as a line up featuring Underwold, Kaiser Chiefs and Professor Green. I am planning on packing lots of Pimms, a plethora of floral crowns and shhhhh don't tell my husband. But hell yeah we will be doing family fancy dress!

There are still tickets available and if you would like to start off summer the right way visit The Camp Bestival site here! Pop back for all the fun we had there in a couple of weeks!
