Who Lives In A Pineapple Under The Sea?

As I look out of the window it is pouring down with rain. Not such a problem you say. However I? Am the sole carer of small boy during the week. Doom! After we have painted, played tea parties, read school books, got the playdoh out it is roughly 8am so this is the time? I turn to the tele to give me five minutes to pop upstairs for a quick wee or put the vacuum round. My kids most recent obsession Nickelodeon and their number one choice of cartoon? SpongeBob SquarePants obvs.

Available on demand on our NOW TV box, SpongeBob and pals proper make my kiddos laugh. The plots are silly and I must admit that even I have been caught watching it for that bit too long after the children have left the room. I also have it on good authority that it makes Grandad Rog laugh loads when he looks after my pair twice a week during term time.

Living in a pineapple under the sea, SpongeBob sells Krabby Pattys at the Krusty Krab and he is a besties with a starfish called Patrick. I can NEVER keep up with what is going on. But the storylines seem to make perfect sense to the insane minds of a three and five year old. They love singing along with the theme tune and can often be found recreating scenes in the playroom with their little figures.

As well as Nickelodeon NOW TV also offers other channels that aren't offered on freeview such as Sky Atlantic, Fox and MTV. I may be divulging secrets but my other half may enjoy a bit of Geordie Shore on the latter. Don't tell anyone. The benefit of having kids TV shows on demand is that SpongeBob is always close to hand if a small boy gets up at 5:30am (which happens more than I would like) or a small girl has the odd nightmare and needs a cuddle in front of her favourite show before she gets back into bed.

  1. My son has randomly started asking to SpongeBob (or the square one as he calls it). So far I've avoided it as it just seems far to random to me, but maybe if you recommend it I should give in and at least try it once...
