Helping My Boy Stop Being Hangry

If any of you follow me on social media you will know that since my youngest started school he has become quite 'interesting' when he gets home. I think we all know by 'interesting' I mean; tired, cross, shouty and most of all? Really, REALLY hangry. I mean he cannot stop eating. I am finding it really hard to keep on top of all the food he wansts to eat. There are only so many snacks in the world a small human can eat. So when Whitworths got in touch and asked us to try their Bright Little Nuts I thought this could be the healthy answer to my hangry boy nightmares.

Bright Little Nuts come in three varieties including mini cashews, almond halves and mini hazelnuts. They are available in multipacks of five and are a really healthy snacking option. The almond halves are a natural source of protein for muscles and bones, the cashews are a natural source of phosphorus to aid energy release. And I bet you didn't know that hazelnuts are a natural source of copper to help your immune system. With the never ending round of coughs and colds going around at the moment? These sounded perfect.

Each multi-pack features a selection of collectible 'My Amazing Body' fact and activity cards. Encouraging your little ones to explore and learn about their bodies whilst eating a healthy snack. With that in mind? I decided to ask my pair some questions over at our local park after school about bodies. All whilst being slightly scared they may bring up 'Mummy's wobbly belly'. Which seems to be a constant source of amusement.

My girl told me that the very favourite parts of her body are her heart and her brain. She told me that she loves loving people like Mummy and she likes to use her brain to work out maths at school. My boy said that his favourite part of his body is his belly as he likes to eat loads of food (see...hangry all the flipping time). He also of course loves his tongue as he likes to stick it out. More often than not when I am trying to take a nice family photo. Their favourite part of Mummy was her smile and hair (YES! Belly wasn't mentioned...this time).

My two loved the Whitworths Bright Little Nuts. I am glad I can add another range of snacks onto my boys list of 1000 that he likes. It means that whilst he is screaming for "SNACKS" from 3:45pm - 5:00pm I can happily give him something to tuck into that I know is good for his health. Also I will be honest. I may have sneaked a few in my car for know like you arrive five minutes early for school pick up and you need something to do. Check out Bright Little Nuts here!
