One of our favourite spots in the park has to be Thomas Land. And we are so lucky to have this just 40 minutes from our door. Every year they add more rides and if you arrive at the park relatively early there is never a long wait in the queues. For the first time ever I tried out the Troublesome Trucks Runaway Coaster which is my daughter's favourite. I did that thing where I pretended I wasn't really scared but inside...I was panicking a bit! We next hit the water rides for my little boy and my husband who's idea of fun is drenching each other.
In between them getting soaked on Captain's Sea Adventure and me feeling all queasy on James and the Red Balloon as it was a hot day we took regular rests. As a Mum I try to limit sugar intake for my children so the Nestlé Pure Life Water Buddies were perfect to pop in my bag. My eldest is seven and if she's not flossing, she is drawing winky emojis so she absolutely loved the design of the bottles. Aimed at 6-11 year olds they are a great way to get kids drinking water. Also she was more than happy to refill it at a water fountain as she loved the 'kissing' emoji one so much. Next stop was a relax in the indoor soft play. Which really is the best place to be in the hot weather. It's always quiet and the couches are dead comfy to relax on whilst your children run around.
After we had exhausted every ride in Thomas Land we went and enjoyed the rest of the park. Whilst Stephen and my girl went on some of the bigger rides. My boy and I did what I remember best about Drayton Manor as a child. The zoo. It's a lovely little zoo that eventually leads to a cracking Thomas based playground and a dinosaur area that we love to stroll around. This part of the theme park is always a lot quieter than the rest and is a great place to sit and have a picnic. There is also another ride hidden away there in the form of Terence's Driving School.
If you are looking for somewhere to visit this summer holiday Drayton Manor is perfect for little ones and those who are a bit older and looking for excitement. There are loads of great seating areas to have a picnic. And I really would recommend bringing Nestlé Pure Life Water Buddies if you prefer your children to drink water over sugary drinks. But be quick! As they are limited edition currently sold in B&M Stores, Spar, Nisa and Poundland. My girl loved carrying hers around so go and check out the Nestlé site here to find out more information.
