Plus Sized Christmas Party Dress Look Book!

Christmas is just around the corner and it's time to think about events that you have coming up. It might be that you have a few work dos to attend. Or you are planning something super fancy for New Years Eve. For me, as well as celebrating all the festivities, I will also be spending a few days celebrating my ten year wedding anniversary so I wanted something extra special to wear. As a size 18 lady in her 40's it sometimes can be quite hard to find styles I feel confident in that still look good. So when clothing website JD Williams got in touch with me to work on an AD together I was a bit worried I wouldn't find anything I liked. Thankfully...I was wrong.

If you have followed me on my instagram for a while you will know that I generally can be found in dresses or midi skirts. I don't feel comfortable in trousers and I find clothes cinched in at the waist suit me best. The beauty of JD Williams is there are styles online to suit all body shapes. So if you are a skinny jeans and sparkly top kinda woman you will bound to find something for you too. As well as a great range of shoes and boots to compliment them.

The first shot shows my daughters favourite festive outfit which is the Lurex Dobby Swing Dress paired with a lovely pair of stud detail ankle boots. I think this is the perfect outfit to wear for after work drinks if you need something you can wear both during the day and at night. Stephen (my reluctant photographer for the day) loved the second outfit. I squealed when I saw the gorgeous Joanna Hope prom skirt and it looks great with the simple ivory v neck side zip tunic.

I popped the above outfit on my instastories and you all adored it. If you can't wear sparkles at Christmas time when can you? I've combined the navy sequin midi skirt with one of JD Williams range of festive beaded tops. I love the elasticated waist that shows off my waist. And also will be great if I indulge a bit too much at a festive meal! For me I'm not a huge fan of showing off my arms so this top is perfect and also would look great with trousers.

The final outfit from JD Williams is one of those dresses that I wish I had in a variety of different colours and patterns. I think this would look lovely for festive drinks around the in laws or if you want to pop out and have afternoon cocktails with your mates somewhere fancy. Make sure you check out the haul and try on below to see what each outfit looked like on in the flesh. It was wonderful to find outfits that made me feel so confident. If you would like to find out anymore about the amazing range of dresses on offer in the JD Williams Partywear collection please do not hesitate to check out their site here.

Thanks so much to JD Williams for working on this paid advertorial with me.
